disarmed and deserted
slightly bitter hugs

take your bow and go.
sigh singes my lips
no need to linger longer
gasp and i'm gone
arms pulling, rolling waves
no longer drifting alone
dock me near your heart
flame, wings of a bird
spreading in passionate flight
sing against blue skies
forever trying to
see me in you, but my soul won't
reflect in blue eyes
you support the sun
as Atlas, but so gently
in strong capable hands
once more, hearing you
heavy stepping away from me
wish you weren't so sure
